Synopsis for “Border Raiders!”
On the way to see his old friend, Pedro Mendez, from his days with the Texas Rangers, the Two-Gun Kid arrives to find the town under attack by Bull Walker and his gang of border raiders. He helps chase them off and when he asks about his friend Pedro, he learns that during the last attack, Pedro was seriously injured by a blow to the head and spent many hours under the sun as Bull and his men terrorized the town. When the gang left, Pedro was found to be still alive but driven insane and with a lust for revenge against Bull forcing the locals to confine him. Just as they finish telling the Kid about Pedro’s condition the sheriff is informed that Pedro has broken free and ran off into the hills. Before the sheriff can gather a posse, the Two-Gun Kid asks to go looking for Pedro alone.
While searching for his friend, the Two-Gun Kid is ambushed by Pedro, but manages to duck his shots, but this gives Pedro time to escape despite the Kid’s calls to stop before he gets hurt. Before the Kid can continue after him, he is caught in a lasso tossed by Bull Walker and his men who toss him into a pit with a rattle snake. However before the snake can strike, Pedro returns and is able to shoot it dead as well as shoot the ropes off of Two-Gun’s hands. As the Kid climbs out of the pit, Pedro shoots it out with the gang, but is struck in the head by a bullet. However the outlaws are so focused on Pedro, the Two-Gun Kid manages to subdue them all with his bare hands. In the aftermath of the battle, the Kid finds that Pedro is okay, and that the shot that grazed his skull restored his sanity.
