Synopsis for “The Fantastic Four Battle the Mad Thinker and His Awesome Android”

The Fantastic Four are summoned to Reed’s lab, interrupting their plans and Reed’s research into DNA, where they are told that a group of mobsters have converged on New York City. The FF are blissfully unaware that a new menace named the Mad Thinker has gathered an army of criminals and is using his probability calculating computers to come up with the perfect crime to best the FF.

The Thinker arranges events such that the Fantastic Four separate for a brief time. While Johnny is busy helping his Cousin Bones and his faltering circus, Sue is filming a movie, Reed is working at an electronics company, and the Thing is working as a wrestler, the Mad Thinker and his goons take over the Baxter Building. When the FF return home they are shocked to find that the Thinker took Reed’s DNA technology to create the Awesome Android to fight them.

The Thinker has the FF on the defensive when suddenly all of Reed’s devices stop working, and the FF capture him. Shocked over what happened, the Thinker is told by Reed that he didn’t account for the X-Factor, when Willie Lumpkin came to deliver the mail, he was instructed by Reed to push a special button which caused all of the Baxter Building’s devices to deactivate.
