Synopsis for “Target: Tomorrow!”
As they tumble blindly into a seemingly bottomless pit, the Thing finally decides to grab the wall and stop the ride the Miracle Man put them on. Within moments the Torch and Medusa regain their wits, securing Wyatt and the Keewazi tribesmen that were caught up when the Miracle Man opened the earth. Even as the Thing leads the effort to escape his trap, the Miracle Man is busy fashioning a world to rule over. He starts by creating a city in the barren desert, but he is interrupted before he can finish. The battle royale breaks out when the Thing tears up the floor to the Miracle Man’s new palace. Mindless minions go head-to-head with the Human Torch, Thing and Medusa with expected results. The Miracle Man summons a tornado to carry his enemies away and once again turns his attention to his creation. This world he has made is flawed, the epitome of which is his beautiful bride. She will have nothing to do with her all-powerful husband to be. Finding themselves deep in the forest and miles from the Miracle Man’s city, our heroes make quick work of building a raft. In no time they have made it back to the Miracle Man’s city in the desert. The Thing takes on the Miracle Man even while he grows and strengthens, but it is the Silent Ones that ultimately defeat the Miracle Man. As he suddenly disappears they appear and take responsibility for having taught the Miracle Man their ways. The Silent Ones will rehabilitate him in their own way, in their own time. Somewhere in America, a frightening discovery has been made by the military and back in the Baxter Building an alarm flashes above the entrance to the Negative Zone!
