New Comics on July 4th!

Spiderman, Spider-Man, July 4thThat’s right folks this week even with Independence Day upon us, new comics will be on time! This Wednesday, July 4th we’ll be having a 20% Off Sale! It’s a great reason to take a break from the BBQ and fireworks to catch up on some back issues or start reading a new great series like The Walking Dead.  Be sure to come to our Midnight Release Party for issue #100.

Before Watchmen, Ozymandias, Variant Adrian Veidt, the smartest man in the world, gets his own title this week. Before Watchman to date as been superb. Each Mini-Series has a unique way to discuss the title character. Before Watchman: Ozymandias has its own unique problems Len Wein has dealt with. One of the most interesting, as Wein told Bleeding Cool Magazine,  was “The last panel of the last issue [of Before Watchmen:Ozymandias] is the first time you see him in the original [Watchmen] book.” Before Watchmen variants will also be included in the 20% off sale.

Avengers, X-Men, Captain AmericaAvengers vs X-Men has really kicked it up a notch with the start of Act II. Matt Fraction has taken over writing duties. Fraction simply having Cyclops say “No More Avengers!” changed the whole dynamic of the story. The Avengers, Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, are now on the defensive from Earth’s most powerful beings. Avengers vs X-Men seems to be a juxtaposition to Bendis’ House of M, which decimated  Mutant-kind. Is this really the end of the Avengers?

Batman:Earth One, Bruce Wayne, Alfred Pennyworth This week everyone is sure to be talking about the Amazing Spider-Man, but that maybe short-lived. The Dark Knight Rises in IMAX is coming! Months of only pirated photos and 2 trailers. The flood gates have opened with an updated website, Heroclix release, statues, action figures and a new hard cover story from Geoff Johns. Batman: Earth One is a new take on the iconic Dark Knight Legend that started 70 years ago.  Geoff Johns is one of DC’s best writers and after the success of Superman: Earth One HC, Batman: Earth One will not disappoint.

Also, Heroclix fans remember next Tuesday into Wednesday is the Midnight Release of Marvel Heroclix Chaos War along with The Walking Dead #100 so #getyourfix at Cosmic Comics!
