Cosmic Comics’ The Amazing Spider-Man #9 (Electro’s First Appearance) Las Vegas Free Comic Book Day 2014 Give-Away Mega Raffle!
As most of you know, Sony Pictures is releasing Marc Webb’s The Amazing Spider-Man 2 into theaters on Friday, May 2nd, 2014 (just one day prior to our Las Vegas Free Comic Book Day 2014 extravaganza) and not only does this sequel look to setup The Sinister Six, it also has an emphasis on one of Spidey’s oldest foes: Electro. Mega Raffle Prize
Just as Cosmic Comics gave away Avengers #1 in 2012 to coincide with the theatrical release of The Avengers and Iron Man #1 & the first appearance of the Mandarin in Tales of Suspense #50 in 2013 to coincide with the theatrical release of Iron Man 3, this year their Mega Raffle Prize is The Amazing Spider-Man #9 “The Man Called Electro”!
This comic book was published by Marvel Comics on February 9, 1964 and features the first appearance of Electro, the main villain in the new movie. This comic came in at number ten in What Culture’s “10 Best Comic Storylines Featuring The Amazing Spider-Man 2 Villains” and a copy recently sold on Ebay for over $2000!!!

The Next Way
Just show up in costume to help promote the spirit of Free Comic Book Day to get one MEGA RAFFLE ticket.
The Best Way
For every $25 spent before tax you’ll get an additional ticket! Come in for their Las Vegas Free Comic Book Day 2014 sale and spend $100 and you’ll get four tickets, five if you do that in a costume, six if you are in line when they open! WOW!!!
The Mega Raffle will be drawn at 6PM and you do NOT have to be present to win!
Hourly $50 Silver Age Grab Bag Raffles
But wait, there’s more! :-P
Every hour on the hour, starting at 10AM there will be hourly raffles for $50 Silver Age Grab Bags. Grab bags will contain at least $50 in silver age comics. You get a ticket just for attending the event (in costume or not), but you MUST be present to win. There are 9 hourly raffles total with the last one at 6PM right before the mega raffle.
